Helping kids stay active and healthy with fresh blueberries

At Winterwood Farms, we believe that helping children develop healthy habits from an early age can make a lasting difference. That’s why we are proud to support Skip2Bfit by providing fresh blueberries free of charge for children taking part in the programme’s school visits across the UK.
Skip2Bfit is the UK’s only school programme that combines healthy eating with physical activity, encouraging children to understand the importance of nutrition alongside exercise. During workshops, every child has the opportunity to enjoy fresh blueberries while learning about making healthier food choices and taking part in fun, engaging physical challenges.
The award-winning Skip2Bfit programme uses specially designed counting ropes to combine exercise with numeracy, teamwork and personal development. Through exciting activities, children build confidence, resilience and self-belief while developing lifelong healthy habits.

Schools can take part in one-off workshop days or join the Skip2Bfit Enrichment Accreditation Programme, which provides year-round support and measurable outcomes for pupils’ health, wellbeing and personal development.
By supplying fresh blueberries to these events, Winterwood Farms is helping thousands of children discover that healthy food can be both delicious and enjoyable. It’s a simple way to reinforce the message that eating more fresh fruit and staying active go hand in hand, supporting happier, healthier futures for the next generation.
We are delighted to play a small part in a programme that is making such a positive difference in schools across the UK.
