Winterwood Teams Celebrate World Food Safety Week

Food safety took centre stage across Winterwood’s UK operations as colleagues came together for the company’s annual World Food Safety Event ahead of World Food Safety Day on 7 June.

Held from 2 – 4 June across the office, packhouse and farm, the event was designed to refresh knowledge, encourage engagement and reinforce the important role every team member plays in maintaining the highest food safety standards.

Throughout the week, colleagues took part in a variety of interactive activities, including handwashing demonstrations, cleaning quizzes, allergen awareness games and the ever-popular spinning wheel challenge. With prizes, cupcakes and a healthy dose of friendly competition, the event provided a fun and engaging way to highlight key food safety principles.

Alongside food hygiene and cleaning procedures, the programme also included sessions focused on site security and access control, helping ensure colleagues remain aware of the wider responsibilities involved in protecting product integrity and maintaining customer confidence.

It was fantastic to see colleagues from across the business, along with several visitors, getting involved and demonstrating their commitment to keeping food safety at the heart of everything we do.
